About Fuchsia

Fuchsia McInerney began her career in graphic design while pursuing her B.A. in English Literature at Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts. She spent her first post-grad year in Florida as a writer, editor and web designer for the nationally distributed leisure publication, Destin Magazine. During her time in Florida, Fuchsia also served as President of the Emerald Coast Writers, a regional writers’ group of 100+ members. At the helm of this non-profit organization she coordinated the annual literary journal contest and publication and a 3-day writers’ conference drawing authors, agents and publishers from around the country.

Amidst her crash course in journalism and non-profit leadership, Fuchsia formed Pearse Street Consulting, named after her street of residence during a year studying abroad in Dublin, Ireland, a known source of inspiration for Irish writers and artists. In that spirit, Pearse Street Consulting would approach every design project with the highest aesthetic standards and an intuitive approach to clients’ marketing and branding goals.

With the explosion of social networking sites like MySpace, Facebook and LinkedIn, the demand for professional representation with high-level graphics on these sites grew. Specializing in new media design and marketing solutions, Pearse Street began maximizing the MySpace platform with original design concepts. Soon professional designs for artists, non-profits and businesses began to fill the Pearse Street online portfolio, marking Fuchsia as a “guru” in this niche market.

In 2007 Pearse Street, Fuchsia and her growing family relocated from Florida’s Panhandle to Boston’s North Shore, and Pearse Street’s service offerings shifted from social media customization to advanced web development, specifically the creation of large-scale niche social networks. Today Pearse Street’s team of designers, programmers and marketing consultants operate out of an office located in downtown Salem, Massachusetts, where Fuchsia focuses on both project management and creative direction, as well as overseeing the development of new businesses in the ever-growing realm of social media. One such undertaking has been the co-founding of Social Focus Marketing, Inc. (www.socialfocus.com) in early 2010, and in January 2013, Fuchsia spearheaded the launch of RainLeads, Inc., a web-based lead management software.

Fuchsia has also lent her artistic talent to numerous non-profit organizations, including the National Veterans Foundation, PETA, National Wildlife Federation, and GoodSearch.com. Pearse Street also regularly supports the Lynn RAW Arts, the North Shore Smith College Club and Project Hunger.

“Designing for new media is the most exhilarating form of art that I could hope to be involved with,” says Fuchsia. “Within the growing social network niche, we have the opportunity to share our creativity through a dynamic and interactive user experience. We’re a passionate, albeit nerdy, group but we love what we do, and we’re thrilled to be a part of the growing creative economy.”

Fuchsia is also a mother to Sean, Aedan, and Eva.
